Why should the wedding ring be worn on the fourth finger?

There is a beautiful and convincing explanation...

Thumb represents your Parents
Second (Index) finger represents your Siblings
Middle finger represents yourself
Fourth (Ring) finger represents your Life Partner
& the Last (Little) finger represents your Children

Firstly, open your palms (face to face), bend the middle fingers and
hold them together - back to back.

Secondly, open and hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb -
tip to tip (As shown in the figure below):

Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents)... They
will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you
lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later.

Please join your thumbs as before and separate your Index fingers
(representing siblings)... They will also open, because your
brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to
lead their own separate lives.

Now join the Index fingers and separate your Little fingers
(representing your children)... They will open too, because the
children also will get married and settle down on their own some day.

Finally, join your little fingers, and try to separate your Ring
fingers (representing your spouse).

You will be surprised to see that you just CANNOT... Because Husband
& Wife have to remain together all their lives - through thick and
thin!!

I haven't try that though, a mail received and i thought why not share it here.
More or less related to the stuff I've been doing these few days or so, busy doing up and snapping pictures of given pictures in clear resolution for a wedding video dedicated to Jeff & Kate on this coming 17th May. I just got some more photos this morning,phew...

This coming 17th will be both exciting as well as energy-draining for me, coming up as a video man and photographer,as well as doing the clips after that, and as a chauffeur to the relatives throughout the day. All these from as early as 6 in the morning till late night, way after the whole wedding dinner.

I'm kinda feeling at ease for the video/photography stuff, not that comfortable being a chauffeur though. I've encountered old-fashioned rich aunties ordering around as though i'm paid to do so in a "want to/feel like" rather than "required/need to" attitude, doing a favour during weddings and having to smile when you feel like punching on a sand bag. Customer Service, customers are not always right, but you cannot let them feel that they are entirely wrong.
And, i hate being ordered around without a valid reason.
Fingers crossed...
Just for you mate.
