Do something by doing nothing

You can never go back to yesterday and tomorrow might never come.

Don't really need to ponder so much...yet can't leave things lying undone.
We might never know if tomorrow will be that much better, yet i do not wish to remember yesterday for all the glory days and i don't mind walking alone.

Just giving myself a treat like a simple present, will bring.

See the invisible,

Hear and understand,

Touch and feel,

Smell the beauty,

Taste the plain,

Take your time to enjoy every single moment

Any better comes tomorrow equals bonus.

Dance with me

It's about 5 in the morning and i'm just back home from my breakfast.

Can't say i'm sleepy but i'm not feeling energetic either. Maybe due to those little waste sheets of paper in life that you just didn't bother to tidy even if you did looked, till it became some stacks of A4 you can use for books publishing, but without the coverpage to start with nor the contents.

Everybody likes to be loved, and nobody hates feeling that way.

But you do not wish to be cared for in the not-so-right kind of approach when repeated mistakes if not verified, flows like water and taste like mud. There won't be sharing if there's restiction, the video cannot be played if there's copyright even if you think you might be in the right channel, an official declared channel.

Pleasing everyone during work, high chances you're not getting the things done.

I do not wish to please.

Slow Dance

This is a poem
written by a teenager with cancer.

She wants to see how many
people get her poem.

It is quite the poem. Please pass it on.

This
poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a
New York
Hospital .

It was sent
by

a medical doctor - Make sure to read what is in the closing statement
AFTER THE POEM.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever
watched kids

On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to
the rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a
butterfly ' s erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading
night?

You better slow down.

Don ' t dance so
fast.

Time is short.

The music won ' t
last.

Do you run through each day

On the
fly?

When you ask How are you?

Do you hear the
reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie in your
bed

With the next hundred chores

Running through
your head?

You ' d better slow down

Don ' t dance so
fast.

Time is short.

The music won ' t
last.

Ever told your child,

We ' ll do it
tomorrow?

And in your haste,

Not see
his

sorrow?

Ever lost touch,

Let a good
friendship die

Cause you never had time

To call
and say, ' Hi '

You ' d better slow down.

Don ' t dance
so fast.

Time is short.

The music won ' t
last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere

You
miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry
through your day,

It is like an unopened
gift....

Thrown away.

Life is not a
race.

Do take it slower

Hear the
music

Before the song is over.

PS** Inspiration

Pretty great for the past 2 days except for some hiccups.

And it's only when i notice others then would i understand I'm living better.
Often, we tends to grumble about what life brought for us.Only us.

I took a cab back home, while on the long journey back. Looking at the open piece of land back then, with some current ongoing constructing of buildings on the exact same spot.Hey... that's profit.

Changes and changes are changing rapidly. 24 hours non-stop even if you don't care.
That applies to what comes onto our path. It might be a pebble for us to brush aside, a slippery cement floor we tripped or maybe start thinking we're just glad we can walk.

Mr Thomas was sharing with me about his life. He's 45 and going strong, and the economic downturn didn't impact him much. It's how much you gave and not how much you want in returns, if you calculate that much.

You stopped.

He's not bothered about how much losses he made that single day, he calculates for the entire month. With a family to feed, for children's tuition, for father allowances. With about 4k coming in per month, the process is tough he admits yet most of the motivation he gets that keep him going is his family. Nothing can compare to your child greeting you when you reaches home after a long day on the road. He shall works harder every time. He lives a lavish lifestyle and he doesn't regret spending that much too, started a business and failed as well. He doesn't blame or curse, neither does he swear that much.

"What will come, will come",he said.

I spoke to another driver this morning while on the way to work, he was worrying about his son. Heading to xxx country to continue his MBA in banking. You need to show that you have 70k in your account, and he mentioned currently they are facing issues on that.

Pretty late for work today, was physically and emotionally tired.

And perhaps a medical certificate can just save me so much more, keep me safe and i might even rest home for that day or two. Yet I'm glad i didn't do though i had that thought pouring in.

The two days of information sharing was so fun and i just love the interaction among people, sharing of information and just pure communication.

I'm glad i started the conversation.

No secrets

Hot shower as-long-as you like after a day of conversations.
Cold shower as-long-as you like after a day of conversations.
Between both as-long-as you like.

You turn the knob, you control the temperature.
It's love at first sight, and it's essential.
Close your eyes and imagine,
I've no picture.
You're who you are when you are there.

How many time have we really complained about minor issues, getting angry over a piece of device, screaming and shouting over something that we can or may not be able to resolve in that matter of time.

Videos like the one below, forwarded by one can inspire many.

Seed

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business. Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together. He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you. "The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of you a SEED today - one very special SEED.

I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come> > back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO." One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.

By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure. Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however... He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the seed to grow. A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful -- in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives. Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!" All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!" When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed - Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive Officer! His name is Jim!" Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed. "How could he be the new CEO?" the others said. Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!"

* If you plant honesty, you will reap trust
* If you plant goodness, you will reap friends
* If you plant humility, you will reap greatness
* If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment
* If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective
* If you plant hard work, you will reap success
* If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation

So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.. Whatever You Give To Life, Life Gives You

Are you the young executives trying all methods?
Are you jim to many, might seems stupid?
Are you the wife that gives the support?
Are you the seed in the pot.

Are you reading this?

Concerns of fresh graduates dominate dialogue with Manpower Minister

Concerns of fresh graduates dominate dialogue with Manpower Minister

By Hoe Yeen Nie, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 19 April 2009 2030 hrs

SINGAPORE : The issue of how fresh graduates can cope in the current recession dominated a dialogue session between Manpower Minister Gan Kim Yong and the Labour Movement's youth wing, Young NTUC, on Sunday. As the latest batch of graduates receive their degrees later this year, many will no doubt be thinking - "What's next?".

At a dialogue with the Manpower Minister, the concerns of young Singaporeans were evident. One participant asked: "As a fresh grad, do I really have to accept a blue-collar job? And if so, will it affect my application for PMET position after the crisis?"

Mr Gan said: "In recruitment, we will always ask, why haven't you been working for the last one year? If the answer is well, there are no jobs available, employers will not believe (this), because there are always jobs available. "The question is, are you willing to do that job? So the employer will think, if in a crisis situation, you are willing to sit at home and do nothing for one year, not doing anything, that means you are not very flexible." Some agreed that job-seekers' attitudes needed changing. Stephan Tan, Healthcare Services Employees' Union, said: "We have been dependent on the government too much, waiting for help." With graduate employment rates set to fall this year, it is no surprise that one question raised at the dialogue was whether degree holders from private universities would have the same job prospects as those from the three public universities in Singapore. In response, Mr Gan said the government is in no position to dictate the hiring preference of companies, and it was up to each institution to market their own graduates. Separately, some union activists highlighted the dilemmas faced by middle-aged retrenched workers, who find themselves matched to jobs they do not want to do, after going for re-skilling. Isaac Lee, Amalgamated Union of Statutory Board Employees (AUSBE), said: "Some of them may be choosy, but some of them, they do need that job, they do need that income, so they are choosy about the income they are getting." Other issues in the two-hour session included tougher action against companies which hire phantom workers and raising pay scales within the early childhood sector. - CNA/ms "

For me, it's all about striking a balance between stuffing cash into my wallet and having the job satisfaction. You know what you're looking for, yet flexible enough to accept the current situation. Indeed, at times we are too dependent on the government to come up with solutions.

The solutions sometimes comes within ourselves. I could have a higher income if i didn't change my job, but I'd love to explore more despite the lower income. If i earn lesser, spent lesser. Also in the process, i've learnt how to manage my cash better than before.

So my wallet is thinner, yet i'm pretty much still smiling...

Choose your ingredients at the food market.
Some sliced beef + fire you seen done by chef, Campbell soup and that makes my dinner.
Sometimes the quality of the process is more worth smiling than the results.
It all goes well with a glass of red wine(the only left).
Just so beautiful.

Live to be a better man

It's pretty weird how things can turn out in a matter of time, on a usual day.
My dear mum actually slipped and fell while riding her bicycle on a wet morning.
Upon impact, she hit the handle bar and the next moment she was sent to the hospital.
She had a pair of very swollen eyes, broken nose and her cheek bones fractured due to the impact.

Took some urgent leave and accompanied her. She was later transferred to another hospital for operation that took about 4 hours, to remove the fractured pieces of bones, to cut a small portion of her skull to replace those on the cheek. Once healed, we'd have to see if the operation is a success, if not, a second operation.

We can all curse and swear, blame the weather or blame the world.
We get nothing out of it, seriously. Oh, maybe something like getting a type A personality, higher blood pressure and sore-throat after all the cursing. I just hope my sis can stop grumbling and move on.

Some people are strangers we never met, just like Dr Karen Sng and the rest of her department. Yet they and the rest are those that are always there working with selfless devotion. I have not met her before, neither do i have the chance to. I hope my email to the department can convey my best wishes from the deepest of my heart, through digital format right before their eyes.

For those who are by my side and for those who cared.
The doctors, nurses and all others,
Thank you from the deepest of my heart.

At times, you first need to turn around it

Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled

*** i took this pic recently and i think it suits this story.

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.
One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room ' s only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.
Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance
As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.
Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind ' s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
Days, weeks and months passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.
It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, 'Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.'

Epilogue:
There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can' t buy.

I saw the film once again

It's very difficult to say where those diamonds on display around us often came from. Usually it will be more of the Cs, Cut,carat, color, clarity and...i think i forgot. It's more about how much, which brand and wow factor for couples because diamonds are forever.

Diamonds shouldn't be merge with all these, sadly for some history do speaks.

History can remain painful for some that went through and learning path for others.
After watching the film, the video gives clearer picture and understanding,
sometimes brighter than a diamond.

There's a clock in the world you can stop

Indeed true
There's a clock in the world you can stop
The time on your hand
And once you're ready to move on
Double-check the date and time setting
You better be running after that
